Since its founding in 1967 by the passionate vision of our ancestors, the Mignon Merano Park & Spa has become a place where guests are not only welcome, but are part of the family.
Mrs. Irmgard Amort, the Grande Dame of our family, laid the foundation for our tradition of hospitality. Sissi Amort-Ellmenreich, daughter of Mrs. Amort and raised in the rooms of this house, learned the art of hosting from a young age and continues this tradition with dedication in the third generation.
Journey through time with the Amort-Ellmenreich family
We have renovated to make your stay even more comfortable: the two buildings are now connected by an elegant central section and a spacious lounge, reception and bar have been given a fresh new look, along with an attractive new library and a cosy bistrot.
A breath of fresh air for our team - Lorenz Amort and Micaela Zaslabsky-Ellmenreich (Philipp's wife) bring new ideas and fresh impetus to the hotel.
Son Philipp, the youngest member, returns home after completing his studies in hotel management and internships in Spain, Italy and Switzerland. With him, the 4th generation carries on the values and passion for hospitality.
Every year at the end of the summer we celebrate our
church day - a festival in honour of Zenzi Glatt and the founding of her chapel in the hotel.
New construction of the Desiree Design with wellness centre, garage, extension of the garden.
The Hotel Mignon now shines with 5 stars - a sign of excellence, passion and unforgettable hospitality.
Sissi Amort-Ellmenreich takes over the family hotel.
We are doubling the size of the rooms in the Mignon - innovative pioneering timber construction. A new addition is a roof terrace with whirlpool, sauna and deckchairs.
1983-2024: Always changing - new conversions and extensions every year. Standing still is not an option for us.
Purchase of the Hotel Adria, where the 3rd generation Sissi begins her career at the age of 21. Today Florian Ellmenreich is the director of the hotel.
The first newly opened hotel in Merano in Grabmayrstrasse after the war. Wellness treatments and saunas were already available here at the time.
Zenzi, Engelbert and Irmgard acquire the Pension Mignon in Otto-Huber-Straße and start their hotel business. It soon becomes a favourite place for aristocrats and celebrities.
