From October 23rd to October 26th, 2024: Find tranquility in a luxurious setting and rediscover the key to your own soul through writing exercises. What events have had what impacts in one's life? What experiences have shaped the person in what way and made them who they are today? How does one write appropriately about oneself? And what subjective stylistic forms can the individual develop for themselves and their own story? In the stressful daily life, it's easy to lose sight of the soul's needs; almost never is there enough time to reflect, listen inwardly, discover oneself, and capture what is important to oneself. For an increasing number of people, there is a great desire to leave written testimonies of themselves and their life story. Many people, especially older ones, find it difficult to start when they want to write their biography or memories of their life for their own children or grandchildren. The search for the appropriate words requires as cultivated a retreat as possible; it needs tranquility to discover oneself. With the offer of pristine nature, cultural tradition, and contemporary lifestyle, Hotel Mignon is the ideal idyll to be able to uncover the treasure of one's own story and its narratives. Through writing exercises and with the help of text examples, one's own writing is to be stimulated.
About Christian Schüle: Born in August 1970 in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance, Baden-Württemberg. High school, graduation, and civil service in Wangen im Allgäu. Relocation to nearby Munich. Studied philosophy, sociology, political science, and theology at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and studied abroad at the University of Vienna in the same disciplines. Publication of the thesis: "The Criticism of Parliamentarism in Carl Schmitt and Jürgen Habermas" (Political Thought Series, Volume 2) and doctoral candidate with Professor Henning Ottmann in the Department of Political Philosophy at the University of Munich. Called by the weekly newspaper DIE ZEIT to Hamburg, `where` he worked for five years as an editor and reporter in the Dossier section. Left in 2005 by his own request. Began freelance writing for newspapers, magazines, and radio (to this day among others for DIE ZEIT; Mare, GEO, National Geographic, Der Spiegel, du; Deutschlandfunk, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, SWR, and Bayerischer Rundfunk). First book: "Deutschlandvermessung" (2006); at least one new book every two years (all listed under the navigation section ‘Literat’) Conception and direction of the think tanks "Minima Moralia of the Next Society" (for Berlinpolis, 2008/2009) and "Thinkers for Tomorrow" (at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, 2011/2012). Since early 2015 teaching assignment at the Berlin University of the Arts, Department of Cultural Studies. In the spring of 2022, the new book "On the Joy of Being on the Road. Why We Love and Need Traveling" was published by Siedler-Verlag. A travel-literary-philosophical reflection on time and chance, knowledge and wisdom, morality, and humanity.
